The Art of Storyboarding

I was flicking through 'The Art of Storyboarding' and found these few pages helpful.

This page talks about how to draw the characters. It basically echos what Phil said, which is to simply roughly sketch them out. Start with stick men then work in more detail by adding circles and other shapes to give them a 3D appearance. These 3 pages were just some completed storyboards. The middle two show the use of the direction arrows.

Cutting Edge- What Do Editors Do

After renting it out from the library, I have finally got around to watching Cutting Edge. I was quite surprised at how fascinating it was whilst watching I made a few notes. The names which are underlined are simply names of people who I feel I would need to remember in future as they are famous in the film industry.

the notes I've used will also be included as research for my essay.

Robot Army of Doom!

Before I really forget. Just an article I found in the free newspaper you can get at the train station, 'The Metro'. I showed Alison and she said I should upload it. We both thought it was funny.

X-Ray

Another easy tutorial. Other than that not a lot to say.

Book Pages

Finished the book page tutorial. Another easy one. And I rather enjoyed texturing a page of something I love. I swear my parent's should have called me Belle instead. (Beauty and the Beast reference for those who don't get it)

Water Droplets

Again not much to say about this. Just that it was easy to do.

Rule of Thirds and Diagonals

Finally done the rule of thirds and diagonals. Rather enjoyed doing this one. And I am now also resisting the urge to talk about horse riding and how diagonals connects the two.
