Voice Over

After sending out a request for a voice over, I got a quick response from John Mundy. Below is the recording of my script which he sent this morning.

Pre Vis 2

Tried taking the camera in the opposite direction. The flow of the train seems to fit better. The trains in all of the paintings (other than The Anxious Journey) all of the trains appear to be traveling from the right hand side of the image towards the left. Also the harp is playing in the background as I was re using the soundtrack I found before being told it would probably be better to use De Chirico's brother's soundtrack.

Pre Vis First Try

The sound in the background is the aeolian harp. Rather like the eerie feel it gives my piece. However more tries with different camera movements to come.

Soundscape Ideas

About time I updated my blog. Been slacking in updates as of late. After talking to Phil, he recommended that I start looking at a possible soundscape for my piece. After the talk Jackie showed me two pieces of music composed by De Chirico's brother Alberto Savinio. Below is one of his pieces



Also she sugested I looked at the aeolian harp. The awolian harp is a harp which is played when the wind blows through the gaps between the strings. The sound produced, although lovely can be considered quite creepy.

Hi Phil here's a draft version of my script. It still needs a lot of work though.

Texture Tests

In an attempt to get to grips on how I can make my world feel and look as if De Chirico himself made it, I gave the Toon Shader a test. It was also influenced after seeing Jordan (a fellow student) blog. The ideas was to see if I can get a balance between the 'flat' appearance of his images and a 3D space.

Major Project Proposal: De Chirico

My major project proposal. I wouldn't mind some feed back in terms of 'where to go from the start of the idea'.

Logo Idea 2

Was told that the est idea was to stick with silhouettes. So to try and push the idea tried the silhouette with gray rather than black and white.

Logo Idea

A quick idea of a logo design. Tom suggested I used my Knight character and so I've been experimenting with different colour schemes. Also included a few of the designs with the + and - as that's a main symbol associated with me. However not quite sure which one works best if any.

Project Purpose

Just a few things I'm looking at to help me create a solid idea for my De Chirico world. They're mainly for me to be able to find all my ideas in one place. Will tidy this post up later when my idea is solid.
