Essay- Film Choice and Opening Quote

I've finally decided to base my essay upon the film Moulan Rouge.

Moulin Rouge, meaning Red Mill was a carbaret built in 1889 by Joesph Oliver. It was built in the red light distric of Pigalle and is famous for the large red imitation windmill on the roof.

The film was reased on 7th September 2001 and is a romantic musical film directed, produced, and co-written by Baz Luhrmann. It tells the tale of a young English writer called Christian, who travels to Paris to follow the Bohemian revolution taking hold of the city's drug and prostitute infested underworld. There a deadly love affair come to turn when he starts to fall for the main courtesan.

Although I haven't quite decided what the question for my essay I will be trying to answer is, I found this quote which is great for putting the point in that Post-modernism is hard

Postmodernism is hard to define, because it is a concept that appears in a wide variety of disciplines or areas of study, including art, architecture, music, film, literature, sociology, communications, fashion and technology. It’s hard to locate it temporally and historically, because it’s not clear exactly when postmodernism begins.
