Modernism

I still am not 100% sure what Modernism is, much like when we first doing Romanticism, so I looked up a rough definition to help me understand it a more clearly.

Modernism: 'Modernism, in its broadest definition, is modern thought, character, or practice. More specifically, the term describes both a set of cultural tendencies and an array of associated cultural movements, originally arising from wide-scale and far-reaching changes to Western society in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.'

Another site Jackie just showed me is this

It came up with a really good definition of what modernism is about.
