I rather enjoyed drawing in the base room. My first attempt at drawing a scene was using the word Ethereal. I rather like the drawing I did, however now that I look at it, I feel it's too simple and as Alison pointed out it was too much in a comfort zone.
She then suggested I do Ferocious. When I started drawing this I was thinking of what Jolanta said when she wanted to try and use the spiral as a guide. Keeping that in mind, I just started drawing. I had no idea where it was going at all, I just drew spikes all over the place.
.... and it looks brilliant Charlotte, very unwelcoming. It gives me the impression of being a harsh environment full of danger and ruthlessness. Your ethereal image was too ... happy and pleasant! rather than transparent, wispy and floaty.

ReplyDelete... and I loved having you all drawing in the baseroom too! Call me old fashioned, but I get a buzz from seeing you all working around each other and swapping ideas... I hope all the light box/baseroom action in these coming weeks will be as enjoyable... it's going to be a drawing marathon, but you'll earn your animation stripes! Enjoy it!
